Once your business is registered, it will eventually be aggregated by various web indexing services. This is good, but you don’t want empty or inaccurate listings for your site popping up in searches. You also don’t want auto-generated stubs or mistakes showing up when people look for you. So go through and claim your business online. Specifically, find and claim yourself on Google Business.
You’ll fill out some information and they’ll send you a postcard at your business with a number you’ll use to verify it’s really you at that location.
If you don’t, the last occupant of that address will likely remain listed, funneling junk to you and confusing clients who search for you.
